Your mention of the Wild West has me thinking of your Goodnight Mystery series. Did you draw inspiration for the setting of those stories from this area as well? It looks like a lovely historical part of your city with lots of character to draw in all kinds of inspiration.
I was inspired for the Goodnight Mysteries by Santa Fe, and I went there and did research for the series. I interviewed a paleontologist there, and I did a drive along with a deputy sheriff.
